Winters around here are long and most of the time you are house bound because it is just too cold to go outside, but there are those rare days where it is magical outside and not too bitterly freezing where you can actually go outside for a photo session. I bought this vintage gown on one of my many away hockey trips at this adorable antique store in Bovey MN and I knew the perfect girl to model it for me, my gorgeous niece Cassandra. This was so fun, I always treasure the time I get to spend with her. I don't have a daughter, so any girl time for me is such a treat. She is always so willing and exceeds my expectations everytime I photograph her. She is in her second year of pre-med, I know she'll make a wonderful doctor. I am so proud of her and all her accomplishments in life so far, I know there are many more to come.

I woke up yesterday with plans to get caught up on editing photo sessions, laundry, house cleaning and to get in a run, instead I picked up the camera feeling the need to be creative. This past week I bought an old table at an antique store simply because I loved the color and I was excited to use it. Half the fun of taking picture's is the editing, it still amazes me that with a click of a button you can change the tones of a photo and give it a completely different look and feel. The only hard part is choosing which one you like better!

Just a fun quick session of my beautiful niece's Lisa and Victoria. They don't get to see each other very often, but love each other none the less. I could hardly keep up with these too, oh to have the energy of a child again. The time went by too fast over the holidays, I miss them so much.
